Capital of the Cotswolds gets new business centre

Cirencester Serviced Offices ExteriorThe Roman market town of Cirencester in the Cotswolds plays host to the latest in a series of new business centre openings this month as United Business Centres (UBC), one of the UK’s fastest growing serviced office providers, opens its doors at Cirencester Office Park.

Known as the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ and famed for its Roman mosaics, the picturesque town is more used to attracting tourists than business users, but that is set to change as the new centre prepares to house up to 220 people in its prestigious serviced office facilities.

With over 15,000 sq foot of superbly finished, ready-to-use serviced office space, UBC anticipates strong demand from businesses of all shapes and sizes, from small start-ups looking for affordable, prestigious premises to larger companies looking to set up branch offices and project teams without committing to long-term leases for office space.

The centre provides a range of meeting room and hot-desking facilities, enabling occupiers to take advantage of extra space on an ad-hoc basis.  UBC also aims to encourage eco friendly modes of transport to the new centre by offering secure bicycle storage and shower and changing facilities.

UBC Managing Director Philip Grace commented: ‘UBC clients sign a simple licence, similar to a car rental agreement, avoiding the need for complex leases and associated legal fees.  Our business centres are designed so that clients walk into a fully operational set up, complete with IT infrastructure, telephony, furniture, reception and much more.  The new centre in Cirencester provides premier office space in a beautiful market town, fully equipped with the latest technology and equipment, providing a rural work hub fit for 21st century business needs.’

Amanda Alliband, Director at property development company Morcroft who have leased the premises to UBC, added: ‘The addition of such prestigious offices at affordable prices and on flexible terms will significantly change the commercial property landscape for new and growing businesses in Cirencester and the surrounding area, offering a wider range of commercial property options.’

Businesses that have already snapped up the opportunity to set up shop at UBC include professional cleaning business, Sweeping Beauties.  Kevin Johnson, MD, commented: ‘Setting up shop in a prestigious, newly-built office like this without the headache of long-term leases, fit out and other overheads was an easy decision for us.  It projects the right image for the business, particularly to corporate clients.  I expect that we will make full use of the meeting room facilities at the centre and take more space as the business expands – that’s the beauty of this flexible approach.’
