Award winning serviced offices, United Business Centres, creates a better working environment by sponsoring local Artist and Business woman Liisa Clark.

Liisa Clark’s Abstrakt is a small business with a big mission: an organisation who create and supply unique artwork to inspire, stimulate and invigorate workspaces.

Part of the intrepid artist’s brief is to help businesses to understand the importance of art in the workplace; initially, Liisa approached United Business Centres (UBC) in Central Milton Keynes with the intention of supplying the facility with some Quality Original Artwork to help create a better working environment.

She chose the UBC because it’s a fantastic contemporary space; however, Liisa recognises that such modern buildings are often perceived to be cold and uninspiring to visitors and the people that spend 8 or more hours a day there.

A meeting with UBC Manager Lheyton Warby turned out to be more beneficial and fruitful than was expected; Lheyton immediately saw the potential for Liisa’s ideas and was so impressed that he decided to sponsor Liisa’s mission - using UBC as a vibrant test-bed for things to come.

“I think it’s really important to create the right atmosphere in which to do business and create the right working environment to be able to build a winning team” Lheyton commented “ Liisa’s pieces have further enhanced the buildings dynamics and have created some interesting discussion points with the people who visit us.  We are proud to be in a position to support Liisa and promote art in business.”

Deeply textured feature pieces were created for UBC, to offset the clean lines and smooth walls. UBC clients are now enjoying the enhanced working environment; the addition of well chosen art can make any dead space in an office or work place brighter and more inspiring, positively affecting morale throughout an organisation.

Liisa has also received a lot of positive feedback from a series of original contemporary canvas paintings in the Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce.

On May 24th UBC, Business Breakfast MK and Abstrakt are holding an official launch in the form of an evening Gallery Event at Midsummer Court. The event will focus on the importance of Art in businesses demonstrating and explaining the benefits of displaying Art and what it can do for your business. With many of the regions leading businesses to be invited – it will also serve as a top notch business networking event.

“Business Breakfast MK is proud to be partnering Abstrakt in organizing and promoting what promises to be an outstanding event in the business networking calendar; there are many networking events in the city, so we’ve focused on making this one as different, as relaxed - and with Abstrakt’s input - as interesting as possible. To that end, we’re inviting a real cross-section of businesses – from the big names to the SME community.”
Tim Heymerdinger, on behalf BBMK.

Art, if chosen correctly, can be more than decoration; it can stimulate conversation, reinforce the company brand, impress visitors and create the kind of positive atmosphere you and your staff will find more rewarding.
