The market for serviced office space has never been so competitive. Certainly, one thing we've found at United Business Centres is that creating the right first impression can make all the difference. 

With this in mind we recently opened our new national sales office in Birmingham – to make sure that we always have the best possible chance of converting prospective customers into long-term clients.

When we selected the sales team, we made a point of employing individuals with first hand industry experience because we wanted them to hit the ground running. It turned out to be a sensible approach. Emma Harris, our new National Sales Manager, has worked in the serviced office sector for over five years and her insights have already helped enormously. 


A joined-up sales and marketing process


Another thing we've introduced as part of our rejuvenated sales process is a new online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. It's an invaluable tool that helps to ensure complete continuity when it comes to customer enquiries.

All new enquiries are now added to our CRM system. Conversations are recorded and any actions, requirements or requests are captured for reference whenever they're needed. It means that the follow-up process for all enquiries remains seamless and customers don't have to go over old ground, regardless of who takes the initial call.


Immediate impact


We're pleased to say that the new Birmingham sales office has been incredibly successful. Enquiries are up by over 40% and our conversion rates have never been better. It's great news for our current property owners who are really starting to see the benefit and it's also reassuring for any new developers thinking of approaching United Business Centres to assist with marketing their vacant office accommodation.
