Family Foster Care open for business in new UBC Worcester
United Business Centres (UBC) plc announced today that Family Foster Care is the latest firm to choose UBC Worcester as the location for their new offices. Family Foster Care, a new company, has already taken occupancy at the business centre, located at Wildwood Triangle, Worcester.
Family Foster Care (FFC) is a limited company operating within the Social Care sector working alongside Local Authorities to provide safe, secure, nurturing environments for young people who have entered the Looked After Children community.
Currently there is a national shortage of foster carers required in the UK with an estimated shortfall of 10,000 + placement need. Family Foster Care hope that their robust and sympathetic approach will help attract appropriate carers with the view of bridging this gap.
Managing Director, Martin Rae said: "There are many areas that attracted Family Foster Care to UBC. Initially it is an ideal situation for start up companies; the office infrastructure is in place and maintained and we are not tied into any long-term leasing contracts, which is quite a restriction on new companies. Also, geographically it is ideal and is easily accessible for our customers, staff and foster carers. One of the other main areas that attracted us was the availability of the meeting and training facilities."
